Growing up in single-parent family environment in Palo Alto, California . Born December 17, 1972 in Redwood City, California, given the name Michael Christopher Packham. Began taking American Kenpo Karate classes at the age of thirteen years old and in 1991, he achieved the rank of First Degree Black Belt. In addition, he was also training to become a Professional Kick Boxer. In July of 1995, he became a Pro-Kick Boxer and by 1999, he had a record of 5-0. Opening his first Martial Arts School Packham’s Kenpo Karate located at 4155 Hamilton Ave, San Jose, California. He currently holds the rank of 5th degree black belt in American Kenpo Karate Association, 3rd degree in American Kenpo Karate Academy, and a 2nd degree in American Kenpo Training System, as well as CPT, PES (Certified Personal Trainer & Performance Enhancement Specialist) Chris is currently with American Kenpo Karate Association and with Jujitsu America. Over the years Chris has trained with Frank Shamrock, Maurice Smith, Tito Ortiz and Mark Kerr, as well as successfully organized and sponsored children's karate tournaments and he holds the distinction of promoting a submission-fighting seminar with 5-time UFC World Champion, Frank Shamrock. In addition, Chris hosted a lifetime achievement award for Prof. Wally Jay and Prof. Willy Cahill that was featured in Black Belt Magazine. He has organized and instructed women's self-defense and rape prevention programs throughout the Santa Clara Valley. In 2000, he produced "Kids Fight Back" awareness and prevention DVD which sold over 18,000 copes and still available. Chris is currently enrolled in San Jose City College.
